Welcome!

Because the Southern Memorial Association exists only to maintain the Confederate Cemetery and the Walker Cemetery, we continually seek funding for our goal to maintain beautiful resting places for those who lie within. The Southern Memorial Association receives no funding from government sources, nor has it any foundations or endowments. We exist totally from donations from folks who care about our work. We continue to exist like the founding ladies began, by “dimes and dollars.” We who care for our two cemeteries are all volunteers. Every dollar donated goes into our bank account and is used for maintenance of the two cemeteries. The Southern Memorial Association is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization which depends on donations for maintenance and preservation of the Confederate Cemetery and the Walker Cemetery. All donations made to the Southern Memorial Association for the care of these cemeteries are tax deductible.

🌸PURCHASE a flag which has flown over our cemetery! The beautiful First National Flag of the Confederacy is pictured above as it proudly waves over the Confederate Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The first national flag flies faithfully over the Confederate Cemetery every day of the year. As a means of raising money for the upkeep of the cemetery, the Southern Memorial Association offers the retired flags for purchase at $30 postpaid.
